Missions Strategy

Why a Missions Vision Statement? Proverbs 29:14 says "Where there is no vision, the people perish." A missions vision statement is a clear and challenging proclamation of the church's missions future as the church's leadership believes it can and must be if they are to fulfill God's purpose for the church.

The Lord gave us His command for evangelizing. Why a mission strategy? The church was established by God for the purpose of carrying on His work in the world. When that work does not take place, one has to ask "why not?" Certainly it's not a matter of God's ability, for God is able to do anything. Nor is it a matter of God's willingness. The problem, when the church is not accomplishing its purpose, lies not with God at all, but lies with His people. Without a mission strategy, the people have no direction.
